Governor Visits Ocean City Boardwalk

By Al Campbell

OCEAN CITY — There was no doubt about it, Gov. Jon Corzine knew when to visit Ocean City.
On Aug. 9, a day when humidity was low, temperatures were in the mid 80s, and pleasant winds blew across the city, the Garden State’s chief executive paid a visit to the boardwalk for a walking tour.
From about 10:30 until noon, Corzine chatted with visitors and saw some of the city’s eroding beaches.
One of the sites he saw was a beach replenishment project that has been paid mostly through state funding.
