Governor Signs Fiocchi Bill Helping Veterans Afford a College Education

By Press Release

TRENTON – Legislation sponsored by Assembly Republican Sam Fiocchi to help returning military veterans earn a college degree was signed into law by Gov. Christie. The bill (A-3967/S-849), allows veterans to pay in-state tuition rates to attend New Jersey colleges.
“These valiant men and women served their country with pride. This will help them make the transition to civilian life,” said Fiocchi, R – Cumberland, Cape May, and Atlantic. “In-state tuition will make it more affordable for them to prepare for a productive and rewarding future for their families. We honor their service by allowing them to attend our outstanding colleges and universities at the in-state rate.”
The legislation is known as the “New Jersey Tuition Equality for America’s Military (NJTEAM) Act.”
