Goshen Postal Patrons Informed of Post Office’s Closure

By Al Campbell

GOSHEN — Patrons of the U.S. Post Office here, located for many years in the former Smith’s store at the intersection of Route 47 and Goshen Landing Road, were informed on Thur., June 16 that the office will close, and keys to mail boxes would be collected next week.
Saturday was the final day for collections there.
Patrons were directed to Dennisville Post Office to surrender their box keys.
No press notification was made by the local district based in Bellmawr.
The Postal Service has been under pressure to reduce expenses by closing small offices that do not produce sufficient revenue to allow them to remain open.
The building in which Goshen Post Office was located was sold.
