Glitch Didn’t Stop Beer Fest

By Camille Sailer

SEA ISLE CITY – Sea Isle City’s administration announced July 10 that the Townsends Inlet Beer Festival, held July 14 at a licensed establishment, could proceed despite residents’ complaints regarding the festival’s use of the parking lot at the corner of Landis Avenue and 87th street. City officials indicated that the event had a permit but acknowledged that use of the parking lot for the venue should not have been approved since it did not conform to zoning standards. They indicated there was a glitch in the review of the event’s application. The acknowledged glitch was identified. Going forward, procedures were put in place as a remedy.
