WILDWOOD ─ Mayor Ernie Troiano announced May 9 that community improvements are coming to the Rio Grande Avenue district. Water pumps, installed by Cape May County, will help redirect floodwaters to the back bay. Troiano’s goal is to reduce flooding in the 1st -3rd wards. Funds for the improvements are 75 percent loan and 25 percent grant monies. According to Troiano, the loan interest is below 1 percent.
