CREST HAVEN – The reorganization meeting of the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders will take place at 5 p.m. on Jan. 4.
The annual reorganization will be held in the Freeholders’ Meeting Room at the County Administration Building, 4 Moore Road.
Freeholder Gerald M. Thornton will be administered the oath of office by U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-2nd).
Freeholder Ralph E. Bakley Sr. will take the oath of office from his daughter, Barbara Bakley-Marino, county personnel director.
Additionally, director and vice-director of the board will be selected and departments will be assigned.
Both Thornton and Bakley were reelected in November 2007 to serve three-year terms.
Thornton served as freeholder from 1976-1987 and from 1995 to the present.
Bakley was first appointed in February 2003, elected in November 2003 to fill an unexpired term and elected to his first full term in 2004.
