OCEAN CITY – A new program is being continued Feb. 11 by the Cape May County Freeholder Board.
“County Coffee Chat” will bring Freeholders Jeffrey Pierson and E. Marie Hayes to the Yianni’s Café inside of the Community Center in Ocean City from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The idea of the event is to provide a casual atmosphere for people to ask questions related to county government.
“I enjoyed having the community come out and speak their mind on what is going on,” stated Pierson in a release. “I am very excited to keep it going in 2019.”
In future months freeholders will appear in other municipalities to make it easier for all residents to speak with their elected officials. Future dates will be announced.
“It’s always great to host an event like this in Ocean City where I live,” stated Hayes. “I think it is another way to have the freeholder board be more responsive to our community.”
Yianni’s Café inside of the Community Center is at 1735 Simpson Avenue Ocean City.
