CREST HAVEN — During the June 12 freeholder meeting the board took the following actions:
• Approved use of competitive contracting to secure engineering services to coordinate work on county roads, not part of the project, when Garden State Parkway traffic signals are eliminated.
• Authorized retention of Triad Associates for economic development consulting services not to exceed $17,500.
• Approved participating in Community Work Experience Program designed to assist and place Work First New Jersey clients to acquire skills, training, knowledge and work habits for employment “at no cost to the county” funded through Workforce Investment Board.
• Executed articulation agreement with Atlantic Cape Community College to provide college credits for “competencies mastered at the Police Academy.”
• Awarded contract to Taser International Inc. to supply Prosecutor’s Office with “conducted energy devices” in amount of $46,872.
• Appointed Peter Lomax to Cape May County Open Space Review Board for one year until June 1. 2013.
• Appointed Anthony Anzelone as member of Board of Education of Cape May County Technical School District to fill, until Oct. 13, 2013, the unexpired term of Beatrice Payne, who died.
• Reappointed Kenneth R. Merson and Lenora Boninfante-Kodytek as members of Cape May County Special Services School District until June 30, 2015.
