Freeholders’ Actions

CREST HAVEN – At the Tue., Feb. 14 meeting, Cape May County freeholders took the following actions:
• Reappointed William G. Burns Jr. to the Cape May county Municipal Utilities Authority for another five years. His new term will expire Feb. 1, 2017.
• Reappointed G. Wayne Harris to the Pollution Control Financing Authority for a five-year term to expire Feb. 1 , 2017.
• Appointed the following as member of the county’s Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council for one year: Barbara Biller, Carol Changlin, Patricia Devaney, Mary Donegan, Marie Giansante, Anna Mae Letts, Jean Russo, Maryanne Thomams, William Thomas, and Carrie Williamson. Ex officio member is Freeholder Kristine Gabor.
• Appointed the following to the Human Services Advisory Council until Dec. 31, 2014: Beth Bozzelli, George Plewa, Greg Speed. Member at large, Wayne Whelan.
• Appointed the following to the Public Health Advisory Committee for the year: Joseph R. Tordella, Kevin Thomas, Beth Bozzelli, Pat Devaney, Bridget Farrell, Bonnie Kratzer, Edward J. Mahaney, Sarak Matthews, Kim Mounce, Christine Nicolau, Mary Ott, Mary Snyder, Greg Speed, Diana Stover, Freeholder Director Gerald Thornton, Freeholder Kristine Gabor.
• Appointed the following to the R.S.V.P. Community Advisory Group for the year: Helena M. Aber, F. Gloria Blakey, Carole Bitting, Mary B. Donegan, Janet Dougherty (inactive) Robert Farrell, Fred Hagin, Sheila Harris, Mary C. Henderson, William Lamb, Mary Ellen McGovern (inactive), Hilda Orlando, Joseph Orlando, Anthony Samartino, Robert Swanson, Maryann Thomas, William Thomas, Walter H. Trettin. Ex officio members Freeholder Kristine Gabor, project manager Vivian Lee Shupert.
• Appointed C. Joseph Tracy to county Board of Social Services until Dec. 31 2015.
• Authorized lease agreement with Greater Wildwood Tourism Improvement and Development Authority for $100 to lease Wildwood Convention Center for March 15 to hold an emergency management planning exercise.
• Authorized a travel show agreement with Mid Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities to promote tourism at 30 travel shows for $666 per show.
• Reappointed Robert J. Boyer as member of the Atlantic Cape Community College Board of Trustees until Oct. 31, 2015.
• Appointed and reappointed members of the Voting Accessibility Committee until Feb. 13, 2015: J.B. Feeley, president, Edward Taylor, members, Robert Conroy, member, Hobart Sapp, member. Freeholder M. Susan Sheppard, Ronald Jost, ADA compliance, Anne Elskamp, Greta Schmicker, Joan Madden, George Moore, public-disabled.
• Designated officers to the Construction Board of Appeals for the year: Harry Clayton, chair, Albert Beers, vice chair, Dale M. Foster, secretary.
• Reappointed Robert P. Rixey as member of the Cape May County Planning Board for three years until Feb. 15, 2015.
