Freeholder Board to Reorganize Jan. 3

COURT HOUSe – The Reorganization Meeting of the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders will take place at 5 p.m. Jan, 3, 2013. The annual reorganization of the Board will be held in the Freeholders’ Meeting Room at the Cape May County Administration Building located at 4 Moore Road, Cape May Court House, New Jersey.
Freeholder Leonard C. Desiderio, who was re-elected in November to serve a three-year term, will be sworn in during the meeting. The Oath of Office will be administered by Judge of the Superior Court J. Christopher Gibson.
Freeholder Desiderio was first elected in Nov. 2002 to complete the unexpired term of Freeholder Jeff Van Drew. Desiderio was re-elected to serve three-year terms in Nov. 2003, Nov. 2006 and Nov. 2009.
Additionally at the meeting, Director and Vice-Director of the Board will be selected and departments will be assigned.
Freeholders meet the second Tues. of each month at 5:30 p.m. (Caucus meeting), 7 p.m. (Regular Meeting) and the fourth Tues. at 3 p.m. (Caucus Meeting), 4:30 p.m. (Regular Meeting). The public is invited to attend all meetings, which are held at the County Administration Building.
