CREST HAVEN — Freeholders approved at their Tue., Aug. 23 meeting the following:
• Resolution awarding open-end contracts to Seashore Food Distributors and Sysco Philadelphia to provide fresh produce to Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for a two-year term starting Aug. 24, 2011 with option for two one-year extensions.
• Awarded resolution for open-end contract to Vineland Syrup Inc. to provide drink dispensing machines, soda and juice products to Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center starting Sept. 11 with option for two one-year extensions.
• Authorized agreement to use student nurses in clinical laboratory experiences in the County Health Department, including the flu vaccination clinic through Aug. 31, 2012 at no cost to the county.
• Extended agreements with Smeltzer & Sons and Tony’s Produce to provide perishable foods to the County Zoo until Oct. 12. Bids taken Aug. 10 are being reviewed.
• Awarded a $156,775 contract to Maser Consulting of Clinton to provide the county with a waste water management plan. The firm selected from among five which provided proposals.
• Agreement between the county Special Services School District and Sheriff’s Office to provide a Sheriff’s Officer to the district to serve as a School Resource Officer for the upcoming school year.
