Five Mile Beach Towns Order Businesses, Bars to Close, Curfew

WILDWOOD — As of 4 p.m. Oct. 28, all businesses on Five Mile Beach Island, Wildwood, Wildwood Crest, North Wildwood and West Wildwood, have been ordered to close for the duration of the storm emergency. Additionally, all licensed establishments (those serving alcohol) have been ordered closed for the duration of the storm emergency.
A curfew has been imposed for all persons who have elected to disregard the mandatory evacuation. No one is allowed on any street, sidewalk or public place, and all roadways into the island are closed.
Any modification to the order will be announced in a joint press release.
