OCEAN CITY – Sen. Sgt. Robert “Bob” Andrzejczak, Assemblyman Bruce Land, and Assemblyman Matt Milam, (all D-1st) congratulated Bob Barr for the years of service that Barr has given to the Pinelands Commission.
According to a release, Barr announced June 7 in a letter to Gov. Phil Murphy and Pinelands Commission Richard H. Prickett that he is stepping down from his seat on the commission.
Since being appointed by Gov. Chris Christie in March 2015, Barr was elected to the Ocean City Council and assumed chairmanship of the Ocean City Housing Authority.
As his reason for resignation, Barr cited “changes in (his) personal and professional life,” including overseeing a major development in Ocean City, one of three large development currently being undertaken by him hometown Housing Authority.
“Bob has always been a tireless advocate for South Jersey,” stated Andrzejczak. “With his expanded responsibilities to his constituents in Ocean City, he wanted to make sure he could bring all of his focus there. We thank him for his service and dedication to the important issues in the Pinelands.”
