Family to Hold Vigil For Ocean City Man Missing Since March

CEAN CITY — The family of a 21-year-old John Weisbecker say they have not seen or spoken to him since March 11.
Family and friends of Weisbecker will hold a candlelight vigil on Friday, Dec 11, in Ocean City’s Veterans Memorial Park at Sixth and Wesley avenues starting at 6 p.m., according to published reports.
Weisbecker was reported missing by family members on March 12. He was last seen by members of his immediate family during the morning hours of March 11, 2009. Attempts to contact Weisbecker have been unsuccessful and information gained from family and friends have not provided any information on Weisbecker’s whereabouts.
The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit and the Ocean City Police Department continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Weisbecker’s disappearance. Ocean City police said the case is suspicious.
