Fair Housing Update

SEA ISLE CITY – At its May 29 meeting, Sea Isle City’s City Council passed a resolution to approve Fair Share Housing measures related to its COAH (Council on Affordable Housing) obligations per a December 2017 court order that affected all state municipalities. “We will ultimately introduce ordinances to create new zoning areas, or so-called ‘overlay’ areas to incentivize property owners to add an extra unit in new construction for those of moderate income,” explained Solicitor Paul Baldini. “We’re anticipating compliance hearings in August that will also touch on our housing master plan,” he said.
