PETERSBURG – Engineer Paul Dietrich informed township committee members Sept. 12 that the municipality will soon need to spend $75,000 for a car wash bay.
The wash bay is required by state law, according to Dietrich.

“We had to replace some of the equipment over the last two years. The wash bay is located at the municipal public works yard. This requirement is part of the DEP stormwater requirements and prevents pollution that would rinse off equipment and vehicles and flow into the ground and water supply,” Dietrich said.
