Emergency Exercise Held at AC Airport

By Herald Staff

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — The Atlantic City International Airport in cooperation with the Federal Aviation Administration will conduct a full scale Tri-Annual Emergency Exercise on May 15.
The exercise, which will run from 8 a.m. to noon, is conducted every three years in compliance with federal regulations. The exercise will evaluate the emergency plans and agreements for airport, local, county, and state response agencies that would be directly involved in a large-scale aircraft incident.
Residents in the area should not be alarmed if they hear sirens and observe smoke as part of the exercise.
