STONE HARBOR – Stone Harbor’s recently adopted drone ordinance bans recreational drone use and limits their commercial use. Drone advocates have responded with an attack on the ordinance, claiming that federal and state law preempts the municipal regulation of drones.
At the Feb. 19 Stone Harbor Borough Council work session, Solicitor Marcus Karavan said that the borough suspended enforcement of the ordinance while it reviews regulations for consistency with federal and state laws. Any changes to the ordinance would follow that review.
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
