Dilworth Promoted to Deputy Construction Official

By Press Release

VILLAS – Lower Township Building Inspector Jason Dilworth has been promoted to Deputy Construction Official following certification from the state Department of Community Affairs.
To receive his construction official license, Dilworth documented his 10 years of experience in the construction industry and completed course work at Atlantic Cape Community College.
According to Township Manager Mike Voll, when Construction Official Gary Playford is on vacation, Dilworth can perform those duties. Voll said Dilworth’s certification as construction official will provide better service to residents and contractors and eliminate down time.
“Having a second construction official is part of our process to expedite applications in the construction office,” said Voll.
Dilworth also serves as the township’s Safety Coordinator holding meetings with employees to prevent workplace accidents. He has worked for Lower Township since 2007 and was previously employed by Cape May County.
