DENNISVILLE – At its Jan. 24 meeting, Dennis Township Committee heard a resident complain that township roads were not plowed as necessary during the recent blizzard. “I along with other Committee members was out plowing because of the severity of the storm to help our public works crew,” said Mayor Zeth Matalucci. “We did the best possible job we could, and I think the township recognizes that this was a very unusual amount of snow that we had to deal with.” In another matter, committee weighed the offer by a local mining pit to donate its land to the municipality. Committee decided that there were no benefits to accepting the donation because of potential cleanup liability and other concerns.
