DENNISVILLE – At the Oct. 23 Dennis Township Committee meeting, resident Robert Herron, the brother of Kim Herron, Dennis Township recreation center director whose employment status has been the subject of discussion at recent committee meetings, asked the governing body, “I’m confused about the Facebook page you all have posted. It’s telling people to vote Republican and gives the impression of being the official page of the township. It’s been using the Dennis Township seal although a couple of days ago the seal was replaced with something for Halloween. I don’t know if the seal is going back up again. By the way, I am blocked from this page which I believe the courts have held is illegal as I am a resident and this is a public body. Is that true?” Solicitor Marcus Karavan replied that he would have to research that point. Committee member Scott Turner, standing in for Mayor Zeth Matalucci and Deputy Mayor Julie Fry-DeRose, both of whom were absent, said, “We have an official municipal page and the page you’re referring to is where the mayor and committee can post items of interest.”
