DT Logo

By Camille Sailer

DENNISVILLE – At the Nov. 28 Dennis Township Committee meeting it was announced that the walking/biking path, a looped bikeway adjacent to the township recreation complex, is complete. The project, funded with county Open Space funds included trees and landscaping, repairs to the security fencing, a bike rack, and signage.
The township seeks to construct a paved connection from the walking/biking path to the county north-south bikeway. This upcoming project is part of the countywide bikeway and is awaiting permission from Atlantic City Electric to utilize a portion of its right of way, before proceeding. Previously Committee member Lisa Salimbene reported, “Connecting our township to the county bike path has been a three-year journey which all started with my campaign promise to the community.”
