DCA Grants Money to Corbin City to Annex with Upper Township

By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — Sen. Jeff Van Drew and Assemblymen Nelson Albano and Matt Milam (all D-1st) announced Feb. 11 a grant from the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) in the amount of $20,000 for Corbin City to begin the process to annex with Upper Township.
“If you want to encourage merging towns you need to use the carrot approach and make it appealing. Funding this study accomplishes this goal,” said Van Drew.
“We are so pleased that the DCA listened to the request of both of these towns and our legislative team. It’s time to stop talking and start doing when it comes to consolidating services and saving money for our tax payers,” said Milam.
