Crest Police Charge Wildwood Man with Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats

WILDWOOD CREST — Wildwood Crest police were dispatched to the area of 8400 New Jersey Avenue on Sat., April 30 on a report of a male beating a female.
Sgt. Edward Gorski arrived to find Jermaine Rodgers, 22, of Wildwood, holding a female against a fence. Further investigation revealed that prior to police arrival, Rodgers assaulted the female by throwing her to the ground after pulling a knife on her and threatening her with it.
Rodgers and the female are involved in a relationship.
Rodgers was arrested without incident and the knife was retrieved by Gorski.
Rodgers was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.
Bail was assessed by Judge Christopher Robertson at $20,000.
Rodgers was lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
