WILDWOOD CREST – The Borough of Wildwood Crest will host a community outreach program on flood mitigation March 10, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Wildwood Crest Pier Recreation Center, Heather Road and Ocean Avenue (5800 Ocean Ave).
The program will provide information on flood insurance coverage options and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regulations and requirements.
Professionals from Flood Risk Evaluator (FRE) will make remarks and provide information on new laws and regulations that may affect flood insurance policies, as well as discuss mitigation steps and potential policyholder savings.
Residents can meet with FRE professionals one-on-one to review their current elevation certificate and flood insurance policies and determine proper mitigation steps needed to lower premiums.
The program is free to all but registration is required.
To register, log on to wwcrestoutreach.eventbrite.com or call (866) 599-7065.
Whether you are confused about coverage options or FEMA regulations/requirements, in just one free session, professionals can offer the guidance needed with on-the-spot mitigation reporting and flood insurance premium information.
