WILDWOOD CREST – Borough Commissioners passed an amendment Feb. 6 in accordance with the shared services agreement between Wildwood Crest and Wildwood. According to the amendment, no vehicle “shall be operated for the purpose of transporting persons for hire within the Borough of Wildwood Crest” unless the owner or party has obtained a Wildwood taxi-cab license. Insurance must be filed in compliance with legal regulations. Any violation of the ordinance “shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 90 days.” The Wildwoods have unified their taxi-cab regulations, including Wildwood Crest, North Wildwood, Wildwood, and West Wildwood.
