By Herald Staff

ATLANTIC CITY – Cape May County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti took over as president of the Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey on Thursday, Sept. 25.
In the presence of her fellow County Clerks, Registers of Deeds, Surrogates and Sheriffs from New Jersey’s 21 counties she took the oath of office pledging service and leadership to the 88-year-old organization.
“New Jersey’s Sheriffs, Surrogates, County Clerks and Registers face many challenges on behalf of our constituents. I am looking forward to facing these challenges with you to enable all of us to do the very best work for the people we serve. Together we can accomplish great things.” Fulginiti said.
Fulginiti, 47, of Ocean City, was elected in 2005 as County Clerk.
She was elected president of Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey on July 24 by her 64 colleagues.
The organization meets and communicates regularly about legislation, issues which affect county constitutional offices and ways to better serve the public. The organization met from Sept. 23-25 at Trump Plaza for their 32nd Annual Conference.
