OCEAN CITY – City Council unanimously approved a $10.25-million bond ordinance to fund road work, drainage projects and dredging of the city’s back bays.
This is the second bond ordinance of the year, according to city Finance Director Frank Donato. The bond includes $4 million for dredging work in the back bays, $4.1 million for road work, plus $1.65 million for drainage projects. An additional $500,000 will fund work on public buildings, including work on public restrooms.
In all, the city is set to spend about $38.7 million on infrastructure work this year, under a five-year capital plan that calls for more than $100 million worth of work over the next five years.
