Corrections Officers Graduate With Honors

COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Sheriff Gary Schaffer announced today that four members of the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Division graduated from the 20th Basic Course for County Correctional Officers at the Atlantic County Police Training Center on April 8, 2011.
Correctional Officers Patrick Netherby, Anthony Greto, Louis Taylor and William Schenck completed the 12 weeks of mandatory training required by the New Jersey Police Training Commission.
Officer Patrick Netherby was the Class President, finished 2nd in academics and second in firearms. Officer Louis Taylor finished 1st in Firearms with a 98.8% average and also received the Don Souder Award for First Aid. Officer Anthony Greto received the Intensity Award and finished 2nd in Physical Fitness.
Sheriff Schaffer said, “I continue to be impressed with the quality of our officers at the Correctional Center and their work ethic. I can only expect great things from these new officers as they have demonstrated their abilities and commitment to the job while at the academy.”
