NORTH WILDWOOD ─ Suggested by student Jaxon Grauel of Wildwood Crest Memorial School, North Wildwood City Council introduced an ordinance providing special parking for combat-wounded veterans.
The ordinance allows for one designated parking spot in the parking lot at 15th Avenue and the beach. Mayor Patrick Rosenello said veterans’ groups may attend the April 16 Council meeting when the ordinance is presented on second reading.
According to the ordinance, “Any vehicle parked in said reserved space shall be clearly identified as being eligible… by possessing disabled veteran’s or Purple Heart license plates.” Those who qualify shall be exempt from parking fees.
