NORTH WILDWOOD – TRIAD Associates, the city’s grant coordinators, warned that a Community Development Block Grant program might face a serious challenge based on preliminary indications of steep cuts to that Housing and Urban Development program.
City Administrator Kevin Yecco noted May 2 that this program had provided at least $400,000 in grants to the city to make community development improvements over the years.
He advised that all should contact their congressional representatives and senators asking that they ensure that this program continues.

A series of resolutions was passed that:
* Authorized a public bid to resurface West Marina Court.
* Established meter and parking lot rates (they will remain the same as last year).
* Authorized the sale of surplus equipment on GovDeals.com, a website that has produced nearly $1 million in receipts for the city over the last seven years.
Council announced that Federal Emergency Management Agency had provided $800,000 in funds that the city was entitled to after Winter Storm Jonas.
Council also reported that there would be some digging on Ocean Avenue from Second to Sixth, and Surf Avenue from First to 11th because a sanitary sewer will be installed at those locations that will consist of a trench and laying pipe, and recovering until work begins again next year.
This is seen as a time-saving step that will enable the project to be finished this time next year.
