WILDWOOD ─ Commissioner Peter Byron asked fellow commissioners the purpose of “Addendum I” in the Aug. 22 agenda. Mayor Ernie Troiano said the city was in need of additional workers for certain projects. Because of that need, Troiano contacted several labor unions and, according to the addendum, is “hereby authorized and empowered to sign a memorandum of understanding” with Bricklayer and Allied Craftworkers Administrative District Council of New Jersey, Local 4 and 5.” Troiano explained the workers will “supplement” the city’s Public Works Department.
