NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood City Council passed ordinance 1776 April 16 to provide a parking space on 15th Avenue for combat-wounded veterans.
City Clerk Scott Jett read the ordinance describing the events of 1776 and George Washington’s creation of the Purple Heart medal.
Jaxon Grauel of Wildwood Crest Memorial School attended. He thanked council for creating the parking sign and space.
Rev. Deb Moore of Sunrise on Sunday congratulated Grauel and council for their efforts in honoring veterans past and present. The ordinance removed parking fees in the designated space, according to Jett.
