WILDWOOD – City commissioners introduced an ordinance Feb. 14 to amend off-duty assignment pay for firefighters. According to the proposal, all funds must “be deposited into the Dedicated Fire Safety Trust Account Fund.” The chief financial officer will deposit funds into that account. On various special assignments, all firefighters will be paid $50 per hour and “shall be paid for services performed on the regular pay date.” Second reading of the ordinance will be Feb. 28 at the regular commissioners’ meeting.
