NORTH WILDWOOD − In compliance with state law, Police Chief Matthew Gallagher will serve as the municipal Humane Law Enforcement Officer. On June 19, City Clerk Scott Jett informed city council that the law requires each municipality to appoint a humane law enforcement officer. An appointed officer will ensure the safety of animals, investigate allegations of abuse, and make sure animals receive proper care.
