ERMA — The Lower Township Police Department is investigating multiple thefts from motor vehicles that occurred during the night of Tues., Oct. 26th and Wed. Oct. 27th.
Numerous motor vehicles were entered on the following streets in the township’s Villas section.
Village Road
Arbor Road
Oakdale Avenue
Woodland Avenue
Wilde Avenue
Stolen items included: Purses, loose change, cameras, Ipods, cell phones and a GPS.
Lower Township Police also investigated a report of a stolen motor vehicle on Thursday morning, Oct. 28. A resident in the 100 block of West Wilde Avenue reported their motor vehicle stolen sometime during the previous evening.
Lower Township Police Dispatch broadcast a description of the stolen motor vehicle to all county police agencies and the 2007 Pontiac G6 was subsequently recovered by the Middle Township Police Department on West Dunbar Street in the Whitesboro Section of Middle Township.
The majority of the vehicles that were entered, were unlocked at the time of the thefts.
Once again, the Lower Township Police Department is asking residents to secure and lock their vehicles while they are unattended.
