Cape May Permits Swimming at Beaches Beginning May 30

CAPE MAY – On May 18, Cape May issued an executive order, restricting swimming on Cape May beaches until further notice.
According to a release, this executive order rescinds the swimming restriction on Cape May beaches. Swimming will be permitted beginning May 30, at 10 a.m.
Be further advised that the Cape May Beach Patrol will be on a preseason modified duty schedule.  Bathers must swim only when and where lifeguards are on duty.
The opening of the Cape May beaches for swimming shall be subject to all restrictions and strict social distancing requirements outlined in paragraphs two and three of New Jersey Executive Order 143.
