CAPE MAY – In a release, Cape May issued the following statement:
This order modifies, and to the extent appropriate, supersedes the executive order issued May 18, 2020, governing transient, seasonal and/or short-term rentals in the City of Cape May.
It is hereby ordered and decreed that the May 18 executive order is modified as follows:
Rentals in the City of Cape May for a duration of less than 30 days shall be permitted, effective noon, Thursday, May 28, 2020.
Hotels and motels in the City of Cape May may operate at a 60% of full capacity effective noon, Thursday, May 28, 2020; and may operate at full capacity effective 12:01 a.m., Monday, June 22, 2020.
All other provisions of the May 18, 2020, executive order remain the same.
This order is subject to all pertinent state executive and administrative orders, and all pertinent county resolutions, and is also subject to modification by the City of Cape May in accordance with future developments and conditions.
Persons violating this order, as well as those who aid or abet violations of this order, are subject to arrest and prosecution as disorderly persons, pursuant to N.J.S.A. App. A:9-49 and N.J.S.A. App A:9-50.
