Cape May County Celebrates Earth Day 2012

COURT HOUSE – Freeholder Vice-Director M. Susan Sheppard announced that the Cape May County Earth Day Celebration will take place at the Cape May County Park and Zoo on Sat., April 21, 2012. The theme of this year’s event is “Set the Scene… Go Green!”
The day begins at 7:30a.m. with registration for both the 1 Mile Fun Run and the 5K Run. The Fun Run starts at 8:30 a.m. followed by the 5K Run at 9a.m. The Earth Day Fair is from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. This year’s main event is an Environmental Magic Show!
The following is a list of scheduled 2012 Earth Day Events:
7:30 a.m. 5K Run and Earth Walk Registration Opens
8:30 a.m. 1 Mile Fun Run (pre-registration required at information booth)
9 a.m. 5K Run (pre-registration required at information booth)
10 a.m. Opening Ceremony

Star Spangled Banner – Amanda Brown ‘Cape Island Theater Company’
10:30 a.m. Mascot Race
11 a.m. Show – The Magic of Recycling with Bill Kerwood
12 p.m. Recycle Awards– Lynn Crumbock
12:30 Live Music – “The Too Trio”
1:30 Drum Fun Circles – Mark Jacopec
2 p.m. Show – The Magic of Recycling with Bill Kerwood
3 p.m. Live Music – “The Too Trio”
