Cape May City Fire Police Take Oath

CAPE MAY – Cape May City Clerk Diane Weldon administered the oath of office to officers of the Cape May City Fire Police on Thurs., Nov. 10.
The Cape May City Fire Police is a fully volunteer organization operating within the Cape May City Fire Company. Their primary duties are to assist the CMC Fire and Police Departments in traffic and pedestrian control and during emergency situations. Their efforts and dedication to the community and service enables Police and Fire personnel to better deploy their resources to higher priority issues. Each officer is certified and the oath is renewed every five years. Their first call was made in May 2004.
