PETERSBURG – A resident of Shore Acres in Marmora asked Upper Township Committee at its Jan. 14 meeting about the status of promised improvements to Caldwell Park in Seaville at Stagecoach Road.
Committee member Hobart Young explained, “We’ve improved the playing field, so that there is a practice field for football. We also put in new equipment at the playground and improved the mulching there. We’re also looking at expanding parking for games and need to address pickleball and tennis court repairs.”
Business Manager Scott Morgan added that in the spring the township would be taking a careful look at the overall condition of Caldwell Park which, at a previous committee meeting, he had termed in a “deplorable” state.
