Bulkhead Project Announced

North Wildwood Logo

By Rachel Rogish

NORTH WILDWOOD ─ North Wildwood City Council passed a resolution March 5, authorizing advertisement for bid of various projects. Due to storms and nor’easters in recent years, the city has taken an aggressive stance on infrastructure projects, including the front beaches and seawall. City Administrator Ronald Simone said that the bulkhead between Fourth and Sixth avenues was in need of replacement and existing work was “temporary.” The city received a $7-million grant from the state Department of Environmental Protection and is working with it to extend the seawall to Sixth Avenue.
