DENNISVILLE – Dennis Township Committee updated its trash and disposal regulations to limit the number of bulk items set out by residents for pick-up to a 4 feet by 8 feet by 4 feet area July 9.
Business Administrator Jessica Bishop said, “There have been instances in the past where residents have taken advantage of this service. For example, cleaning out entire houses or rental units, or bringing commercial/industrial-type bulk waste to their personal residences for disposal. Abusing such a service means increased tipping fees, labor expenses, and equipment maintenance costs for the township and residents.”
Mayor Zeth Matalucci added, “We want to make sure we keep costs low and everything fair for Dennis residents. Township committee will continue to review and revise policies, as needed, to protect the taxpayers of Dennis Township.”
