SEA ISLE CITY – At its Feb. 27 meeting, Sea Isle City City Council introduced the 2018, $24.7-million municipal budget which will not increase the local tax rate of $0.384 per $100 of assessed value. The hearing will be March 27 at 10 p.m. in City Hall. The amount to be raised by taxes to support the budget is $17.7 million. Chief Financial Officer Paula Doll said that the budget is “in very good shape. We are under (cap) limits and have healthy financials. At this stage, we are in effect just beginning the budget process and will be working closely with council members and keeping all residents and the public at large informed about various budget decisions.” The budget is available here.
