VILLAS – Lower Township Mayor Erik Simonsen announced that a special meeting seeking public comment and ideas regarding the Ocean Drive Middle Thorofare Bridge Improvement project will be held Aug. 22, at Lower Township Hall. Two sessions will be held; one at 2 p.m. and another at 6 p.m. The project is focused on either repairing or replacing the three antiquated bridges on Ocean Drive and possibly raising the roadbed to reduce flooding and improve safety.
