SEA ISLE CITY – Sea Isle City administration received an update from the county about what to expect about the end phase of Sea Isle Boulevard construction which began in May 2014. “We believe everything is on target for a wrap-up of the project at least by summer 2019 so this should be the last summer everyone is dealing with the construction,” said Katherine Custer, director of Community Services. “We greatly appreciate everyone’s patience,” she added. Lanes were shifted to the boulevard’s newly created north side. Soil has been placed on the south side for the compression or ‘surcharge’ process. When enough time has passed, the new road, four feet higher than before, will be finished on top of that and shoulders and center borders will be finished, said Custer.
