Beach Drive Update

By Jim McCarty

NORTH CAPE MAY – Lower Township Councilman David Perry asked that residents be patient with the Beach Drive Sidewalk Improvement project. Perry noted that the recent nor’easter that produced gale force winds caused some loss of sand from the newly formed dunes. Perry added that this is a temporary condition, as the newly planted grasses are helping to control the loss of sand when violent storms strike, and the overall project will result in higher protective dunes, anchored by beach grasses.
