NORTH CAPE MAY – According to Lower Township Administrator James Ridgway, the Beach Drive Sidewalk Improvement project began Jan. 22. A special project planning meeting was held Jan. 12 that included stakeholders (contractors, council representatives, police, fire, and Public Works) to kick off the plan to repave the street, install sidewalks, and mark intersections to improve pedestrian safety along the bay in the North Cape May section. Preliminary surveys and removal of benches on the west side have been completed. The project is scheduled to be completed by April 14.
