SEA ISLE CITY – At its Feb. 26 meeting, Sea Isle City Council introduced an ordinance on first reading that amends zoning regulations to prohibit the “sale, cultivation, manufacturing and testing of medical and nonmedical marijuana in all zones and overlay zones” in the municipality. Second reading is anticipated for a March council meeting. This measure reflects the growing concern about the issue in the county with other municipalities taking a wait-and-see approach as the Legislature debates regulation.
