Avalon Veterans Pay Tribute to Fallen Comrades

AVALON — Veterans Day was marked on Thur., Nov.11, at 11 a.m.
The event was held at Avalon’s Veterans Plaza on Dune Drive aat 21st Street.
Avalon Mayor Martin Pagliughi and members of the Avalon Borough Council participated in the event.
American Legion Post Commander Al Carusi also gave remarks to the veterans.
The ceremony included a rifle salute (probably the best photo of the bunch), the playing of “Taps”, patriotic music from the Seven Mile Singers, and dozens of veterans from Avalon and Stone Harbor.
